Hello Neighbor,

Thank you for signing up to receive the PVD Rescue Plan newsletter. I look forward to using this newsletter to share updates on the Providence Rescue Plan, the City of Providence’s process to allocate American Rescue Plan Act dollars. When we first began this process, our focus was on understanding the needs of the people of Providence–residents, small business owners, senior citizens, teachers, artists, and countless others—as we all recover from the impacts of COVID-19. That focus remains strong today.

We have been presented with a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make transformative investments in Providence, today and in the future, and we are proud to share the hard work the City, community leaders and residents have put into the American Rescue Plan Act fund allocation process so far. Your participation in this process has been and continues to be essential to a successful recovery. We want to make it easy for you to stay involved in this process, so stay tuned for upcoming newsletters and follow the City of Providence on Facebook and Twitter, where we’ll share more specifics on how to engage with the next steps of the Providence Rescue Plan.

Survey Results on PVD Rescue Plan Website

Over 1,100 people shared their thoughts on how Providence should invest its American Rescue Plan dollars via the PVD Rescue Plan survey. You can view the results of those surveys on the home page of the PVD Rescue Plan website.

COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Task Force American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds Recommendations Report

I thank each member of the COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Task Force for their generous contributions of time, skills and expertise. The Task Force led a community engagement process that engaged over 1,400 people who are invested in Providence’s recovery from the pandemic. Their hard work resulted in a report detailing their official recommendations on how to spend American Rescue Plan Act funds – a true labor of love from Providence community members who are your neighbors, friends, and family. I strongly encourage you to read the report, understand how we got here, and where we’ll go next.
